Tech Justice Law, in partnership with the Knight-Georgetown Institute and Georgetown’s Center on Privacy and Technology, is proud to launch the Tech Litigation Tracker—also known as the TRAL Tracker (Tech Related Actions and Litigation)—an important and timely resource mapping the rapidly evolving landscape of technology-related litigation and oversight.
As lawsuits and regulatory actions against technology companies grow in number and complexity, critical insights are often fragmented across jurisdictions and disciplines. The TRAL Tracker brings this information together in one place, gathering U.S. and international lawsuits alongside regulatory oversight actions involving emerging technologies and tech companies of all sizes.
Spanning issue areas such as antitrust, AI, consumer protection, privacy, Section 230 and and addictive design, the Tracker provides a structured, accessible view of how accountability is being shaped across courts and regulators. Built from ongoing empirical research and cross-disciplinary collaboration, it surfaces key trends in legal theories, defenses, and outcomes serving not just as a repository, but as a strategic tool for litigators, researchers, policymakers, and advocates.
Interns from Tech Justice Law and students from Georgetown’s Center on Privacy and Technology play a central role in maintaining and updating the Tracker, ensuring it remains current and responsive to new developments.
By making this information more accessible and actionable, the Tech Litigation Tracker strengthens the collective ability to hold technology companies accountable.
